SURGAR was pleased to participate in ENDO Dubai 2026 (11th edition), a premier international conference uniting experts in minimally invasive surgery to explore the latest advances in clinical practice. Our CEO, Nicolas Bourdel, contributed to the scientific program with two presentations on how advanced imaging and AI can enhance surgical precision and personalization.

Presentations: AI and Imaging for Personalized Surgical Care

Nicolas Bourdel delivered two talks highlighting the role of technology in improving surgical outcomes:

  1. “From Ultrasound to AI-enhanced MRI: Mapping Myomas for Surgical Planning and Intra-operative Guidance”
    • Explored how AI-enhanced imaging can improve the mapping of uterine fibroids (myomas) for better surgical planning and real-time guidance during procedures.
    • Emphasized the potential for personalized care through precise, data-driven surgical approaches.
  2. “AI-guided Technology and Carcinomatosis: Using AI to Identify Malignant Peritoneal Lesions in Ovarian Cancer”
    • Presented research on AI’s role in detecting malignant peritoneal lesions in patients with ovarian cancer, based on the PhD work of Eleni Karatrasoglou and the Master’s research of Mina Zamani.
    • Highlighted how AI can assist clinicians in identifying high-risk areas, improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.

These discussions underscored a key principle: AI should serve as a practical, clinician-driven tool that integrates seamlessly into the surgical pathway to enhance precision, safety, and personalization.

Engagement with the Global Surgical Community

ENDO Dubai 2026 provided a valuable platform for SURGAR to engage with international experts in minimally invasive surgery. These exchanges are essential for advancing innovation and ensuring that technology aligns with the needs of clinicians and patients.

Acknowledgments

We thank the ENDO Dubai organizers for hosting this insightful event and all participants for their contributions to these important discussions.

Looking Ahead

The conference reinforced the potential of AI and advanced imaging to transform surgical care. SURGAR remains committed to developing solutions that support clinicians in delivering safer, more precise, and personalized treatments.
